The Right Skills for the Job
Not every agricultural role requires the same skills. Operating a forklift, driving a heavy vehicle, applying agricultural chemicals or using specialist machinery can require specific training, licences or demonstrated competency.
We select workers around the requirements of the role rather than simply sending whoever is available.

Licences & Certifications
Where a role legally requires a particular licence, certification or competency, workers undertaking that work must meet the applicable requirements.
This can include requirements relating to:

- Heavy vehicle driving
- Agricultural chemical handling and application
- Chainsaw operation
- Machinery and equipment
- Other specialised agricultural work
Requirements can vary depending on the role, equipment, workplace and jurisdiction.
Chemical Handling & Application
Chemical application requires particular attention to training, safe handling, PPE and the requirements of the products and equipment being used.
Chemical spray operators supplied for relevant roles are expected to have the appropriate training or competency required for the work they're undertaking.
Experience Matters Too
A certificate alone doesn't replace practical experience.
For roles such as pruning, harvesting, tractor operation and team supervision, we also consider a worker's practical agricultural or horticultural experience when building a team.
